For planetary reducers, the gears are relatively important and vulnerable components. Some companies, in order to improve work efficiency, operate planetary reducers under long-term high-load conditions, leading to increased gear loads and a higher failure rate of the equipment. To meet the needs of various companies, here are some small methods to enhance the load capacity and performance of the equipment:

1. Gear modification
Modifying the tooth profile and applying root relief are effective methods for enhancing the performance of heavily loaded drive gears. For heavy-duty gears, gear tooth end modification is typically used to prevent misalignment caused by overload.

2. Adjusting the displacement coefficient
If the displacement coefficient is selected correctly, the load capacity of the gears can be increased by 20% to 30%.

3. Controlling the precision and errors of the device
Not only does the precision level of the gears affect the tooth surface strength, but the absolute value of the pitch error must also be considered. If the pitch error is large, the rolling pressure applied to the gear teeth will also be significant.

4. Increasing the tooth width
When the outer diameter of the planetary gear reducer remains unchanged, increasing the tooth width while ensuring the internal gears can effectively enhance the load capacity of the gears.

5. Increasing the gear module and the tooth profile angle
If the outer diameter of the planetary reducer remains unchanged and the load capacity needs to be increased, appropriately increasing the gear module and reducing the number of gear teeth can achieve this.
